When I set up these pages in 1998 (1377), there was virtually no information about Iranian Railways on the Net. The pages started both with the aim to test bilingual English/Farsi homepages for our new founded translation business and the pleasure to introduce to a railway trip in a wonderful country.
By 2000 (1379), thanks to the help of Engineer Ebrahim Issai of RAJA, the pages have been presented in a conference on new technologies in railway operation in Tehran and published on Istgah bulletin of RAI.

Today Iran is one of those countries with the fastest grow of Internet use in the world. Both RAI (Iranian Railways) and RAJA (Rail Passenger Corporation) have set up and maintain extended Homepages with very useful information both in Farsi and English. RAI Pages have even an online train tracking system and offer real time update of train delays.

Due to the lack of time I am not able to update the unofficial homepage on a regular basis. The latest timetables and news are best illustrated on the official pages of RAI and RAJA. I hope that my pages can do some contribution on encouraging (rail) traveling to and through this marvellous country called Iran or just animate the fantasy of those who travel in front of the screen...
